This medication is administered as a diagnostic test called Exalenz BreathID non-invasive breath test. It is taken by mouth and involves two separate doses, one containing 13C-enriched urea and the other containing citric acid. After taking the 13C-enriched urea, a breath sample is taken, and then another breath sample is taken after a specific waiting period. The breath samples are analyzed by the Exalenz BreathID Hp System to detect the presence of H. pylori bacteria in the stomach. This medication is available only with a doctor's prescription.
