Ciltacabtagene autoleucel is administered through the intravenous (IV) route. It is a cancer medication made from modified white blood cells that are designed to recognize and attack cancer cells. The injection is used to treat multiple myeloma in patients who have received at least four previous treatments that did not work well. Follow your doctor's instructions and discuss any concerns or questions you may have.

Common precautions when taking ciltacabtagene autoleucel include avoiding contact with people who are sick or have infections, washing hands often, staying away from rough sports or situations where you could be bruised, cut, or injured, brushing and flossing teeth gently, and being careful when using sharp objects. Additionally, it is advised to avoid immunizations (vaccinations) without your doctor's approval and to wait at least 6 weeks before starting treatment, during treatment, and until recovery following the last cycle of this medicine.
