How is Estropipate (Oral Route) dosed?
The recommended dosage of Estropipate (Oral Route) varies depending on the indication and age group. For hot flashes and other menopause-related symptoms, the recommended adult dosage is one tablet of Ogen 0.625 (0.75 mg estropipate) to two tablets of Ogen 2.5 (3 mg estropipate) per day. For vaginal symptoms, the adult dosage is also one tablet of Ogen 0.625 (0.75 mg estropipate) to two tablets of Ogen 2.5 (3 mg estropipate) per day. For female hypogonadism, female castration, or primary ovarian failure, the recommended adult dosage is one tablet of Ogen 1.25 (1.5 mg estropipate) to three tablets of Ogen 2.5 (3 mg estropipate) per day for the first 3 weeks of a cycle, followed by an 8 to 10-day rest period. Your doctor may adjust the dose as needed and tolerated. Use of estropipate is not recommended for children in any indication.
