What medications are contraindication with Naphazoline Ophthalmic Route?

Do not use in infants and children. May cause severe slowing down of the central nervous system (CNS) and a severe decrease in body temperature. Avoid using with iobenguane I 131 and certain medications that interact with food, alcohol, or tobacco. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

How is Naphazoline Ophthalmic Route administered?

To administer:

  1. Wash your hands.
  2. Apply pressure to the inside corner of the affected eye for 1-2 minutes after administering the medicine.
  3. Tilt your head back and gently pull the lower eyelid away from the eye to form a pouch.
  4. Drop the medicine into the pouch and gently close your eyes. Do not blink or apply pressure for at least 1-2 minutes.

Avoid touching the applicator tip to any surface, including the eye, and keep the container tightly closed. Follow your doctor's instructions or the label's directions for dosing.
