How is Ponesimod Oral Route administered?
Ponesimod oral route should be taken as directed by your doctor. Do not take more, take it more often, or take it for a longer time than prescribed. If you have certain heart conditions, your doctor may require you to remain in a medical facility for at least 4 hours after taking the next dose. Swallow the tablet whole, without splitting, crushing, or chewing. It can be taken with or without food. Follow the instructions in the Medication Guide that comes with the medicine.

Before taking ponesimod oral route, inform your healthcare professional about any allergies you have, especially to the medicine itself or other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives. Let your doctor know if you have any other types of allergies. During treatment and for 4 weeks after stopping the medication, consult your doctor before taking any immunizations (vaccinations). Avoid close contact with individuals who have recently taken oral polio vaccine. Practice precautions such as wearing a protective face mask that covers the nose and mouth.
